You could find yourself working in a variety of venues from the local RSL/ Leagues Club right up to the major 5 star hotels. All it takes is the right training, some dedication and commitment and the desire to GET PAID TO PARTY!
What training will I receive?
A comprehensive training program is provided which encompasses equipment handling, voice training, wedding procedures and formalities, music selection and format and customer service techniques.
What happens next?
After successful completion of the training program you are ready to work. Paramount Events run a central booking office and all functions are then allocated to comperes who operate as sub contractors to Paramount Events who provide you with the function and necessary sound equipment.
What do I need to provide?
To show your commitment to Paramount Events and to maintain the reputation we have strived hard to achieve, we ask that you provide the following:
Mobile telephone and reliable car
Availability to work Saturday afternoons/ evenings and other times as required (This does not mean that you will work every week)
Professional manner and neat appearance while representing Paramount Events
Our dress code is "Black Tie' (black dinner suit, white shirt, vest and bows tie for the men and black pants/ skirt and dress shirt for the ladies)
Neat, clean and tidy hair
No visible tattoos
No facial piercings
As you will be operating as a subcontractor to Paramount Events, you will need to:
Obtain an ABN number (GST is optional) - this is mandatory as we cannot legally pay anyone without an ABN number
Maintain your own tax records
Submit an invoice after each function to enable payment
What does it cost?
The Compere Training course is FREE, however you will be required to supply your own music. You will also be required to obtain the appropriate clothing if you do not already have the necessary items as specified.
